The end of March and beginning of April have been pretty interesting for the Summit of Coin Household. Baseball season began the day I returned back to work. This season of the year, requires me to spend a minimum of 10 hours a day at work, plus we play our games on Saturdays.
March finds my wife and I preparing for our cruise. We are going to celebrate 5 years of marriage approximately 9 months late. Thus, it’s really closer to a celebration of 6 years of marriage. I guess, in the end it really doesn’t matter what we call it, all that matters is that we are taking some time off to celebrate our relationship with each other.
Goals, plans and new years resolutions. Those are the things that people do each year in anticipation for a brand new year. They’re going to make changes for the better. They’re going to start working out or losing weight. They’re going to buy a new home or pay a crazy amount of the mortgage off this year. Most new year’s resolutions are short term and only really focus on one year. It makes sense to focus on a small timeframe to make things attainable. However, I have never been a big new year’s resolution fan, as most people don’t follow through with their resolutions.
Well, April is in the books and I am smack dab in the middle of baseball season. This means late nights and less time with my family. However, I truly love baseball season. I really enjoy the smell of the grass, the time outdoors and coaching up kids to play the great American pastime.
Just like that, we are one fourth of the way through 2018! Once again, we made really good progress in the spending realm and came up spending the least amount of money this year! This makes us pretty happy in the Summit of Coin household! We even took a little trip to the Laredo to visit my wife's grandmother. This trip was great for our family as got a chance to relax and I even found the time to play a round of golf. We were also helped out with a decrease in our childcare bill, because I had spring break. Our daycare charges half price, if you don't take your child during the week. Therefore, we saved a little money!
