As a soon-to-be father, I have been interested in the importance of parental guidance and I have even written a couple articles about this topic. Since, we can't count on the schools to teach our children how to handle money, then we have to be the ones to teach them. Therefore, I am writing this article to put down strategies that I want to use to teach my children about finances. I hope that you can find these strategies beneficial, and you will try to use them with your children.
Last November, my wife and I moved into our new house. Upon moving in, we discussed avoiding cable and just purchasing Netflix. This works really well and the only problem that we had was the fact that we are big football fans and would miss a lot of games. So, I began searching the internet for products and ways to be able to watch college football. I found Sling TV and have been using this service off and on for most of the year.
Growing up in Nebraska, there is huge trend every year for students to have professional photos taken for their senior year. These photos are called senior photos and my Mom took me to get these senior pictures in 2005. My Mom has since told me that she spent a fortune on my senior photos and the very next year spent even more on my sister's senior photos.
I think that this can go to show you that millennials can get a bad wrap, most of the time. All generations have entitled and lazy people. It just seems like the millennial generation has been hit with story after story of entitled lazy brats. I would say that lots of research shows that these news articles can be false, especially after Ramsey Solutions just released their results on Millennials and retirement.
I always put on some music and let it play in the background as I work on these articles. I always change it up from classical, to country, to christian and many more styles.
